Good date, but I don't like the way it looks personally.
MS-63 Black ?
I'd like to see the whole set !
probably S-mint clads that have to be proof.
pf-55 pf-45 etc
Is it worth a premium ?
Yeh, this one cries out for a slab , even though it is a problem coin. I think once in a details/ genuine slab from Anacs/ PCGS. NGC it would be...
It's a filler type coin, but more saleable once deemed genuine. I don't think it will be easy to sell without the certification.
it's probably worth getting slabbed....as long as you are confident it is not a 28-S
that eagle looks pretty worn to get VF details.
forgot heard. weird to have the 6 over 7 instead of a bigger number over an earlier year. I'm stumped
never of this one
melt + face ? when you melt it, you lose the face value.
To me it is totally mind-bottling that anybody would pay hundreds of dollars for a piece of **** 64 Kennedy half that is clearly AT.....even worse...
OK, but then what do you with this glob of silver when you are done experimenting? Do you expect me to buy it from you ? Now you have to send...
If PCGS grades those as MS-66, I've lost even more respect for them. I'd never send them something like a modern coin ( say a mint set franklin)...
The gloved hand science experiment explanation is perfect. I can't believe these got slabbed. They are $10 coins to me.
I don't think a privately made bar would be very acceptable ! Better off as spoons and forks. IMO
What happened to it ? I can't see it being a clipped planchet with no curvature.
it was over 10 cents a few years back, and surely costs 10 cents to manufacture.
