Yup. Because the 1st Gen PCGS slabs weren't "sonically sealed" like their current slabs, there was space for the coin to wiggle or "rattle" around...
Reed marks. Occurs when a coin with a reeded edge's rim comes in contact with another coin, causing an impression into the victim coin's surfaces....
I'm almost certain it is a typo in the CPG, considering that an AU53 example sold in '08 at TT for $3,000.
