I think i've seen one of those die clashes detailed in 'strike it rich with pocket change'.
It's real. It is undated and worth about $7. The coin is definitely 1982-current because you can see the zinc stretches on the outside.
i wouldn't buy one of those unattributed if I couldn't inspect it with a loupe. Way too much crap on the bay.

Sounds like an N-27, if it rotated just shy of 90 degrees. Very neat coin!
