eBAY is loaded with fake SVDB's....don't even bother buying one there unless it's slabbed by one of the top three AND the seller is reputable....
They are neither errors nor varieties, they are simply toned. If a untoned woody was well preserved, you would not be able to detect the improper...
I joined it WAY back when it first opened. The coin prices were like a typical police auction then, noobs over-paying....some things never...
That's pretty COOL! Congrats on the grade too!
Yep, that's wood! I've bought and sold many woodies at a premium. It's all in the eyes of the beholder!
Do you have a picture of the reverse? It actually looks to be off-center. If it's not, it's an extreme MAD. As for the 9, that's a grease filled...
Not off-center, it's a MAD (Mis-Aligned Die), very common and it doesn't add a premium unless it's so far off that design elements are missing.

Definately a CUD and definately worth a premium.
Banks are in business to make money, they are not a free institution, plain and simple.
Lance....have I told you lately? . . . . . YOU SUCK! :p That 22D is to DIE for! :thumb:
Repulsive is too weak of a word. LOL
Harshly cleaned, polished.
Nice 25-D!
This one didn't fool many....thanks Dick.
AWESOME FIND! :D Just think if it was a WAM too....wow. 99+% of coins like this posted here are vice jobs, it's refreshing to see the real...
Canon rocks.....NICE PICS!
Very cool....it's a MAD reverse! Very interesting coin! These are pretty scarce, I'd guess between $50-$100 or so.
LOL, yea....and I can tell you this for certain...the coin has never been dipped. :D
Always post a picture of BOTH sides. It helps in the evaluation.
