It looks like a boulder is stuck in the columns. Any ideas on how this happened?
Thought I would post a picture of the reverse of this cent. Pretty sure nothing more than machine doubling.
This is on a 1968d penny. Could this be anything other than machine doubling? The AMER in AMERICA show the same, not ICA.
Is this just a pretty good image of machine doubling?
I'm pretty sure this is machine doubling. Just thought I would post the pic.
I did post this in the error coins section. I am curious on HOW this is post mint error?
I found this in a roll today. I know there are multiple errors on this but I don't know how many. Should I send this to someone to list or verify?...
What could this be? I know it's not zinc rot because of the date. The dark part inside the (D?) is dirt or grease.
I'm pretty sure this is a large date 1970s, but could there be a small s under the large one? Probably not, but it sure looks like it...
Not quite sure what happened to this? Must be the planchet had a gouge in it before the die struck?
I believe this is a small date 1960d. From what I have read, these are quite common. My question... are there (2) d's on this, or is the d machine...
I changed the image to black and white because I couldn't get up close with an in focus image. To me, this looks like one s over another. I am not...
I'm pretty sure this is a die clash. Just thought I would post a picture
These are two raised marks on the back of his collar. I have ruled out air bubbles, they are solid. Not sure what they might be.
Found this in a roll today, the date on this penny is 2000. Three different angles to show error. I think this is caused by the mint and not post...
I'm not sure if this is a post mint error or not. I did run the penny under water with a mild detergent (probably the first wrong thing). The...
I found these today and all three of them look different to me. The first one looks like a small date. The second one looks like a large date....
I think this is die deterioration but, could this be mechanical doubling?
Just thought I would post picture of this.
The reverse of this 1980 penny looks to me that it was done at the mint and not post error. The marks look to me like part of the planchet.
