I bought this one a while ago, I just liked it for the originality and visible detail, even though it isn't especially rare (301,000+ struck)....
the 1877-cc is very hard to find in all grades. I think the coin posted would be a good deal at around $200, if the rim hits don't bother the...
Looking at some of the photos posted, I am concerned about what appears to be some granularity of the surfaces, especially around and within the...
I'll take a stab: the 1879 looks high AU to me (unless what I perceive as loss of luster is incorrect, in which case about MS62-63) 1879-cc:...
OK, first coin- I agree XF since the luster seems confined to just around the devices- very little wear to be seen. Second coin- AU53-55, again...
I'm really enjoying this report. Look forward to more if you survive your encounter with "da bomb" 1794 LC!

VERY nice, original looking coin.

I'm afraid I have to agree with the majority.
Wouldn't that be a hoot- if non-VAMs turn out to be rare?
If the coin was lightly circulated before being put away, it may only lose luster on the high points (cheek, eagle breast and wingtips) and still...
Nice coins with well-executed designs, history, and AFFORDABLE. What's not to like?
It can be hard to tell from photos if a coin has been cleaned abrasively. I suggest taking a point source light, such as an LED flashlight, and a...
