LOL Anyone ever watched 'the bank job'?
My best guess would be that it would have something to do with the depression. Might be wrong, though.
I think usually the cheapest type is $20, but insured shipping is often another $20. So at least $40 most of the time.
It also seems to have reasonably natural surfaces, which is hard to come by on these coins.
Is a luster graze just a light mark? And I'm sure it does, it's just blown up in the photo so its easy to see the negative points. I saw your...
If you like the coin, that's the most important thing here; value isn't much of an issue in this case because it probably wouldn't make better...
I disagree with the grade of 66 because of the bagmarks. I'd go 64*. The other one WAS a weaker strike but it had less bagmarks.
I really don't know how to unless you have an anti-shake or a tripod. My dad has an expensive (but old digital camera)....I have a really cheap...
I totally agree. It's a nice looking coin, but $7000 is outrageous. I wonder if anyone will pay.
It does have a dulled down look in some sections (though I couldn't see any obvious 'rub' on it). But now that I look a little more closely, the...
Yeah, I was going with that, I think it's still at least $20, what really hurts is the insured shipping.
Yeah, that sometimes happens. I think AU 50 is excessively low, but it could still be an AU 58 if it does actually display signs of wear in hand....
Yeah I'm sure the net grade would be F-12 or VG-10, I just meant details. The obverse doesn't look worse, it's just a poorer photo. that's a damn...
there is some flatness in the top of the hair, but that seems to be normal for this type. I highly doubt that it is wear. This is probably an MS...
Me personally? at least $500, if not more for PCGS and NGC. The dealer return time for NGC seems to be taking two months, and I don't want to wait...
Yeah, I've seen some like this, and I've seen some that should have gotten the bodybag when they didn't. Wouldn't be surprised at all. However,...
I tried to bargain the guy down but he wouldn't budge. I ended up taking the deal because I almost never see these without problems and with...
Yeah, the wear on the rims might be the case. Still, I don't see how it would be 1.55 mm. That's more than 1/8 of a cm thick, which would be a...
Thanks, I'm going to post the grade after I get about ten replies.
Too many hits on the reverse for a 65, IMO. I don't know though, you're right that it's hard to tell without the coin in hand.
