My multiple experiences with David Lawrence Rare Coins (DLRC) have shown me that they are a first-rate coin dealer. Their website is found here: http://www.davidlawrence.com/. I consider the DLRC site to be in the top 10 Best Dealer Websites (out of over 200+ I personally have inspected). They have told me this great website will be even better when they launch a new version in the coming months, but that remains to be seen.

To date, I have purchased four (4) coins from them through both their eBay store (http://stores.ebay.com/David-Lawrence-Rare-Coins) and their dealer website. Please note: the two inventories DO overlap. I recommend checking both sites, as normally their direct price is cheaper than their eBay price, although I once bought a coin that was cheaper on their eBay store due to a promotion. I have never personally spoken with the owners, nor have I met them at a show, but I have worked with them through their website, specifically as related to making offers.

1912 FIVE-CENT PIECE - LIBERTY HEAD, CENTS NGC MS63 CAC
1914-S QUARTER DOLLAR - BARBER PCGS VG10 CAC
1930 QUARTER DOLLAR - STANDING LIBERTY, T2 PCGS AU58 CAC

By using the teal-colored “Make Offer” button, I was able to negotiate better prices for all four coins than what they listed on their sites. This may not always be the case, but I have found them receptive to reasonable offers. I have had several savings of > 10% and a few that they declined to budge more than 5% on. I have also paid via PayPal and this worked easily with no payment issues to report.

I have loved every single coin I have received from David Lawrence Rare Coins. Their online coin photos are better than most random eBay sellers, but for such as large volume coin dealer, I find them to be somewhat lacking, as they are often over-exposed, showing the holder better than the coin. I will say they seem to be getting better recently. I have never seen manipulated photos that left me disappointed when the coin arrived, whereas some other dealers “juice” their photos. Quite the opposite, I have always been pleasantly surprised or it arrived and looked exactly as expected. Coins were well packaged and shipped quickly, and I was emailed tracking info. I have had to sign for all coin purchased from DLRC, so I assume signature required is standard practice on all their orders.

As a collector who enjoys purchasing CAC coins, I appreciate that DLRC sends so much of his inventory for CAC review, so there are always lots of affordable and expensive CAC inventory to choose from.

I have no complaints to write about, and I plan to purchase additional coins from David Lawrence Rare Coins in the future. I highly recommend you check their sites and make sure to call, email, or use the cooked-in "make offer" button to submit offers, as they are very receptive to placing coins in good hands. David Lawrence Rare Coins is easily in my personal top 5 favorite / best coin dealers, and the filtering, sorting, and categories on their site makes finding coins very easily.

I have purchased numerous coins from David Lawrence, including Morgan and Peace dollars, Liberty gold, and old proofs -- at both their buyer-fee free auctions and from their stock. They negotiate fairly and provide fast signature shipping. One fine dealer!

Thanks so much for the kind words! It's my first time posting here, but it's always nice to hear positive comments about our company. It's a pleasure to deal with such customers and please let me know if there's ever anything I can do to help!
    Best Regards
