Denis Richard

My name is Denis Richard and I am a professional numismatic photographer. Most people shoot coins as an extension of their hobby. I'm lucky enough to do it as a career. I love the history and the art a coin represents. I’ve been a photographer for 25 years and owner of Coin Photography Studio / HipShot Photography for the past decade. I’ve always appreciated art and photography, but when I started capturing and creating my own images, it changed my life. I love the entire photographic process; editing images as much as capturing them in the field, or the studio. I enjoy deconstructing photographs to understand how they were created. I enjoy image restoration too. I’m drawn to numismatic, product, and architectural photography, and all manner of digital editing and manipulation.
