      Thanks Ken,

Just because I am paranoid, that does not mean things DO NOT go wrong. LOL

Glad you finally received the piece Gary. What a terrific find and now it's officially holdered. I saw the thread expressing your fears regarding the coin and now it's safe in your possession. Happy for you old friend....

You know, I try to do that. But sometimes hey caught up in the post and click the submit button. The one hand typing takes a long time and a lot of effort. I am always using the backspace to fix something. Right now it's dark, quiet and I am the only one awake. Add that to the pain meds and we have a combo.

I really didn't realize how everyone felt about it. Thanks for the heads up. The offending parties will adjust what they do.

This was just a way to fill some empty hours. About 20 a day. lol I guess I wasn't taking any of this as seriously as everyone else ? I have a really bad attitude about my "permanent record" and the "punctuation police" anyway. I post a lot of "lols" because I really am laughing. It's too short a run to take it very seriously. IMHO

Gary, I'm glad that I could be of some assistance. The world needs more collectors like you....:)

Take care, and I hope that Dad's issues improve.

No, 4 of them are worth a dollar. LOL I stopped those in 1964. Clad never had much appeal, although I may buy a couple of cheap folders and build a circulated set ? Time, money and ambition are my obstacles.

I read somewhere that the Bicentennial quarter was the most collected, most hoarded coin in the history of the U.S. Mint. Don't tell your wife.

      Gary,
I did have a lot of fun with that "imaginary" thread, and I was sort of surprised that it ended up with several pages. But, when it came right down to it, many of the statements I made weren't too far from the real thing that we often see posted.

Hey Gary...doing alot better now that I have the post surgery infection under control...i went to the hospital for IV antibiotics for 70 consecutive days, and that was a pain.
I was just informed that according to Social Security Disability I am now totally disabled, and they will start sending me checks...and 20 grand worth of retro pay.
Can't really complain about that except I'd really rather be at work making my 40 bucks an hour dangling from ropes with radioactive isotopes.

Does anyone have info on the 1944 S over D Cent ? The newest edition of the Cherrypicker's guide only shows the D over S variety.
