Thanks. Look, dad is 90. He is going to die. Maybe not this week or next, but as I explained to him, "It is extremely arrogant to think you might be the only individual since the beginning of time to beat the system". With me not driving and the wife being caretaker for her mom, it becomes challenging.

Thanks yet again, see you around shortly,
      Gary

I wanted to thank you for all the encouragement you gave me. I am having some problems with my dad at the moment. He turned 90 and they need to operate on him for an intestinal problem ? I think. He's 4 hrs away and I cannot understand what he is telling me on the phone. I did set everything aside for a bit, and just searched rolls for a bit.
Thank you again for your support. This cyber world is about the only social outlet I have and I appreciate what you have given me.

      Thank you man,
      Gary

I've gotten myself into trouble with sellers because I asked if the earlier ones had been cleaned or dipped after I received them and compared them to the 2000 and later eagles. Thank you.

I bought it from a seller on ebay who says he was a manager at the US mint for many years. Perhaps you've seen his store. The coin I purcahsed from him is definitely the sharpest eagle I own. It's a 2007. He was extremely nice and informative. I purchased another coin from him that was a NGC PF 69 and when I asked him about the marks on the side of the slab. I never heard from him again. I think I insulted him. It was entirely unintentional. I am new so I'm trying to get as much information from collectors or sellers as I can and maybe I asked him the wrong question or worded it badly. I apologized but I still never heard from him again. Anyway my question is: Do you know if the mint changed it's minting processes after 1989 or 1990? I also have uncirculated eagles from those years and the early ones are not nearly as frosty as the later ones.

      Hi Green18:
I see that you are a numismatist and that you also collect silver eagles. I do likewise and I had some questions about them. I have both proof and unciculated eagles of various years. The 1986 to 1989 unc. and proofs tend to have a different look than the later minted coins. The area on the coin where the stars show appear weaker than those on later years. They don't show the lines/checks, whatetever they are called, in the field where the stars are, as sharply as on some of my later issued eagle. I purchased a NGC PF 70 just to have as a barometer; one that I could compare to later eagle coins that I purchased.
