Hi Spiral Treet,

I am Dr Luis Dias, living in Goa, in a heritage building in Panjim that once was the Mint (Casa da Moeda) from 1834-around 1841. As it is 175 yrs since that event, we are making a song and dance about it. I notice that you are an enthusiast in Indo Portuguese numismatics, so I thought you might be interested. The festival is from 8-10 Nov.

I made a trip to Lisbon and got some more info about the house and the coinage issued from it. I myself haven't been interested in coins all that much, until very recently.

We'll be having the famous numismatist Fenelon Rebello speaking on 9 Nov.

If you wish, you could exhibit pictures of the coins from your collection at the festival. Even better would be the coins themselves, but I imagine that would be too much of a security risk for everyone concerned, including ourselves, so perhaps pictures would have to do.
