Hey Brian, I am hoping to do it this year, but can only attend if the I get a full ride scholarship. If not, I'll try again next year.

Nope. I have my type set, which I should probably update, but that is all, and its hosted on NGC.
I have a bunch of raw capped busts though that I should get slabbed and put em on. Promably 3/4 of the nonvariety set.

Well, I don't know about 'one of a kind". There are some pretty amazing sets out there.

Your 1812 sounds perfect. Congrats. 1814 is a favorite year.

The 1820 no serifs is a collectible variety (O.107). But very tough to find (R5) and it will be expensive. I think this is why NGC and PCGS do not even require it in their CBH variety registries. Yes, the 20/19 overdate, and the various types of 2's. But no no-serifs. I'm a little surprised the rebook even mentions it.

Pop reports by varieties are not realistic, sadly. Most collectors don't want to pay for attribution so they aren't recorded. That's why all the numbers are so tiny when often there are hundreds or more.

Unless you're out to build a big variety set you might skip this one. Otherwise start saving! Only a few O.107's have come to auction in the last couple of years. I see two PCGS VF35's that went for $4600 and $4887. Maybe you'll get super lucky and cherry one!

      Hi Brian,
      How's tricks?

The 1820 in my AU registry set is a square base 2, no knob at the top. It's an AU58, I got from the Roger Solomon collection last year. One of my all time favorites...original toning, flashy luster, clean surfaces, great strike. Even full denticles.

I think I still have an ANACS curl base 2, no knob. It's an AU50. Darker, muted luster, nice strike and very original looking.

1820 is a tougher year than a lot of guys realize. 3rd lowest mintage, almost identical to 1807!

I hope your set's coming along well. Fun series, huh?
      Lance.

Hey, thanks. What I did was a stupid unethical teen-aged thing. I am sure Tyler did the same, but none of his voters were from legitimate members. I am both disappointed in myself and him, but I know where he comes from. That is a very desirable piece. Thanks for accepting my apology and I want to let you know I have learned from my experiences.
      Sincerely,

Thanks Brian. I appreciate the ebay info. I may never sell it but only because it would never bring much money. The shirt I made myself. :)
