On both of my purchases (Saint Gaudens and 1910 MPL) Dad and I went in halves on each of them, now I'm paying him back with chores and other stuff.

My last purchase was my 1924 Saint Gaudens Double Eagle for $1,860. I am broke after that purchase, and that was over a month ago, haha. It was well worth it though. Most beautiful coin ever minted. I'm torn between an '09-S VDB cent and an 1877 Indian cent as my next big purchase, all though I love the high grade (MS-65+) Liberty Nickels and Proofs.

No I haven't been to the most recent functions. Probably after the Holidays, I'll get to one.

@Krispy: I apologize Krispy, I thought you were arguing in your comments. All though your comment to me made alot of sense. Now that I go back to that thread, I see what you were trying to do, I just didn't see that before.

@vickels: Glad you got pictures posted. I took me a little bit to learn how but I got it down, its a matter of uploading it in the right size that gets me.

Yes. It ended when you shared pics, and as you may have learned, respect is not easily earned. You do though need to take criticism much more lightly if you are going to parade around threads commenting so flippantly. There is so much great history in numismatics that we can learn from one another. Resisting what others have to offer isn't really the way to open those doors. If my comments seem blunt, that is only because they are black-and-white in text and belie the passion of the hobby we all admire so greatly. I honestly was impressed that you were able to share photos of the coins you love and collect, and that you no longer need to rely on other members posting your pics for you. Not only I, but other members also, admired seeing your coins. Good luck to you and your collecting in the year ahead... and please, by all means, show us, or WOW! us with any new coins you happen to add to your collection. Thanks again for the pics and for understanding the point I was trying to make.

I see your point but show me some respect though. I mean, three threads you've said something less than nice about me. It's been going on and on. I eventually just ignored you in the V nickel thread because my parents said stop fighting. And Doug also said stop. So is this gonna end because it needs to HERE AND NOW! Thanks

Coinguy56: My comments were far from arguing. I simply challenged vnickels to post photos of the coins he says he loves so much and is the 'god of'... he didn't need to reply a word further in that thread. He has been on CT for some 4 months talking up vnickels and starting threads about them but never once shared an image on CT of his collection as so many others do regularly. vnickels had no excuse to go on and on in the way he did in that thread as it only cast further doubt on the existence of his collection. He squirmed and refused, posting all manner of excuses until FINALLY he produced some images. They were very appreciated. It's the very least he should be expected to do for his fellow CT members since he himself solicited others for their pics...

Yeah I saw that thread, Krispy needs to stop his arguing. It can be tricky uploading pictures to CT, you should get a photobucket account. And if you love v nickels so much than you must have some, right? They need to give you some time to figure out on how to upload pics.

Its in the family, my older bro, Dad and my Uncle all surfed. Plus, surfing in Hawaii is a sport like football in the mainland...haha

I need a new surf board, it was passed down by my bro from the 90's. I still use it, but it needs to be retired. I did mention that I'm in a surf school, did I?
