1899 One Dollar not this exact specimen where can I find a good deal on one? Condition isn't too important, but I don't want something that looks like it fought in WWII & then had sloppy seconds in Nam:thumb:
That is probably the best price you could get. That's a nice note! You may want to check www.cccoin1.com under U.S. Currency. They usually have nice stuff.

i would say that a decent black eagle will usually go for $100 or more. Less then that and your looking at notes with issues - tears, holes, soiled, writing, missing pieces ect. Above $100-$150 and your going to start seeing some real nice eagles IMHO!! I have 3 eagles, and they are beautiful notes!
That was my first dream note too. I researched and read for a long time b4 i bought mine. Here it is If you look around you can get a good deal. I got mine for 60 bucks Its still crisp
Now thats an inspiration no serious wear & tear and no visible stains in the photograph. How is the reverse?
Yeah, a black eagle was the first "big" note I bought too. I've posted pics earlier, but I never get tired of showing it off. This cost me a little over $100 on ebay, IIRC. I think it was a pretty good deal, even though Speelman/White is the most common signature combination.
Heres the reverse It was a small coin and bill guy that i bought it from. I asked him his price and i got it down to 60. I am still reveling in it one of my happiest buys ever
