$12 in pennies today. $3 in copper, filled 3 holes in my book, 5- 2009's, 3-wheats.

I know I am new to collecting and and I roll search mainly to fill hole in my circulated collection. But what does everyone here think about keeping pre- 82 cents? 25% of what I looked at today was copper. Your input is appreciated.

I keep all my pre-82 pennies also. Some do, some dont. Its a personal choice really. As to the guy who asked me earlier, yes, coinstars do accept halves.

The coinstar I go to does take 1/2 dollars but they keep 9.8 cents per dollar, a high price to pay for the convenience.

    Congratulations Bobbeth!

Dumped at one of the banks in the area that has a machine, the teller that I went to had a nice Buffalo Nickel showing as the first coin in the till, and gave it to me.:)

    Full Date 1935, looks F-12ish.

Also over the weekend picked up a 48S Nickel that I needed for the Album.

I found a 1964 silver half out of two rolls and after I dumped a bucket of coins at the bank a friendly teller sold me another1964 half for me and a 1962 quarter she had in her drawer :)
