how to market a discovery piece?

    I think that if you can get it graded and attributed on the slab. Than perhaps contacting a few rare coin dealers who sell error coins to see if they will list it on consignment. I am sure there is a deep pockets collector out there somewhere who would want the coin and be willing to give a fair price for it. The problem of course is finding that person. I think dealer's who specialize or carry errors and discovery pieces may have client lists available ? A few e-mails with pics of the slabbed coin to dealers in different parts of the country might do the trick ? Please keep us posted, as I am sure there may be many here with the same problem ? Finding them is one thing, getting what they might be worth is quite another.

    But as others have noted, it is a lot of work and the value may not be as great as hoped.
