A website from a dynamic, industry-leading auction company that hasn't changed since August 10 (here http://bit.ly/66oei1)? Yeh, notice was given of the hiatus in the coin blog postings, but that was over a month ago and no changes since. Shut the site down, redirect visitors; it doesn't need to be much, but do something.

In my daily search for coin news for my blog I'm always amazed to see moribund websites, pages seemingly frozen in time for weeks or months.

Perhaps those wiser than I can explain this to me.

Looks pretty obvious to me. There is simply little ativity on the blog page with only 56 entries for the entire year.

Of course you could also just read the first paragraph -

(As you will read below, which I will let JDB explain in more detail, the Heritage blog is going to be taking a sabbatical. It is only fitting that John be the one to sign off, for the time being at least, as he's held down the majority of the writing for the better part of the last year. For that, and for his continuing good work and insight in all the aspects of his work, he has my thanks, as do those of you who have read this blog over the last two years. Best, Noah.)

My point is not that there was no notice of the hiatus, which there obviously was (and which I noted), but that any visitors find a 'dead' site. It's kind-of sort-of shut down, but not really, though also not really active. Maybe a list of links to previous posts, a redirect to the latest coin auction, anything other than a month-old post.

shut down or seldom used, anything you write, post, blog,or send out of your computer, smartphone or other internet conected device is on the internet forever, you can hit delete and scrub things off your terminal all you want but somewhere out in the etherland that info still lives, waiting for someone to axcess.
