The proof version comes with capsule. Buffalo in a box comes with capsule. Where can I buy those capsules? I have direct fit airtites but don't like the fact they have huge empty space surrounding the coin.
To the best of my knowledge you cannot buy the same holders the mint uses. I think they have them custom made. Now what are you talking about a huge empty space surrounding the coin in direct fit Air-Tites ? In direct fit holders the the coin fills the entire holder. You sure you got the right size ?
for example, T30 for 1oz maple - inside diameter: 30.60mm, outside diameter: 36.50mm, empty space between edge of the coin to the outside edge of the capsule: 3mm H40 for 1oz ASE - inside: 40.60mm, outside: 44.45mm, empty space: 2mm H32 for 1oz AGE - inside: 32.70mm, outside: 44.45mm, empty space: 6mm That 6mm spacing make it look pretty bad to me. Since many coins are about 32mm in diameter, I would like to find a solution. Also looking for direct fit capsule for 36mm coins. Thank you for your response.
I searched ebay yesterday and didn't find anything useful. All the empty buffalo boxes didn't seem to include capsule and didn't want to spend $10-20 for the whole box. What was the keyword that you used for seaching just the capsule? Thank you for your response
So it's the thickness of the plastic that bothers you - nothing you can do about that. It is what it is. Even the ones the mint uses have a certain thickness around the coin. As for the 36mm size you want, Air-Tite makes them.
