How many CTers and others own a Lincoln Memmorial 1988 P or D mint RDV-006 cent?

    Leadfoot there is no spoon

So if I've understood things, the FG has serifs rare 1988 variety?

The one on the right is the rare (1989) variety when found on a 1988?

Yes. Take a 1988 and 1989 cent and put them side by side reverse side up. Now if you find the reverse of the 89 on an 88, you;ve found one ! That is the easiest way to tell that I know of. The designer initial is different and it's placed slightly differently. If you would put a few 1988's reverse side up and a single 89, it will pop.

    Good luck and good hunting.

Hey Derekg, a few more of those and P's 7 D's might tie in number.

This is something that really doesn't matter since it lost half its value when it left the lot.

Only if you were to sell it. That's the beauty of coins/currency. Always worth face. lol

I did buy a couple of new cars that eventually became worth more than the dealer's price. But I owned them for decades.

    Chris,

I had a new car stolen once. I didn't know anything about "gap insurance" at the time. Anyway, it was never recovered. So it took about 2 months for me to get a check for 57% of my purchase price. I lost more on that than any single mistake I ever made.
