Thanx. It's a sweet note! If you haven't found this thread yet, you might also like to check it out, I collect FRNs from the St. Louis, district 8 (H): District Currency Collectors Group
Thanks krispy.....the D.C.C.G. is a great idea, but I collect DISTRICT SETS (star notes), so that wouldn't work for me. Billy put a premium on the serial #12 $20, because he labeled it "Serial 12 on the 12th District"
Sweet note, and i agree :thumb: i will indeed fit well with your other #12 notes Great work. there are a few members on this forum that collect special serial numbers 'USS656' comes to mind as an example.
DJ.. you are correct! USS656 collects note with 656 in any combination in the SN. He served on a US Submarine with those numbers as well. Rick
Although I love the front of this bill it was the back that made the sale. It reminds me of the $20 gold certificates.
Got these notes in today... The Irish ones were a little lost for a couple of days, but their mysterious adventure led them to no harm.
Nice detailing on the African note! I like the face of the Irish notes... very stylish with the different colored medallion on each note on the left.
Beautiful notes, Dave. I love the West African notes, as you might imagine, and that Boabab tree - one could build an entire collection of notes with that tree on them. Glad the Irish ones finally made it Dave
Thanks Dave! Yeah, I've been looking for a decent grade in that FWA note for a while now. The huts and tree are great on that note. That Baobab tree is a favorite subject to be sure. Here's some more info on that Baobab tree if you wish - plus a nice Madagascar note too: http://www.banknoteden.com/TMFOM%20Madagascar%20100.htm
Yes, that was fun! I thought I'd read all through your site, but I guess I missed that one before. Dave
