It appears the US Mint will be releasing their core products (uncirculated mint set, clad proof set, silver proof set) early in the year. You can read the full details here: http://www.usmint.gov/pressroom/?flash=yes&action=press_release&ID=1160 Edit: Doh, wasn't really necessary to be so specific to say "January 2011" lol
Interesting. Wonder what the proof set and unc set prices will be and how much will they go up? Hummm....
Perhaps they wanna get the silver stuff out early if the prices are high for silver early in the year, though that wouldn't explain why they would release clad proof set and uncirculated sets so early. But the Silver Proof set is always the last big annual set released... who knows.
Why doesn't the mint try doing something different next year.....like releasing the collector versions of the American Eagle series. Now that would a feat that I would like to see.
Jaceravone, that would never happen though it wuold be nice to see...it requires to much thought and not enough butt kissing to make it happen
I just read the article from the mint and was thinking how expensive it's going to be for those that purchse more than 1 set of each type. I hope they will release them in increments like they do now. Maybe something along the lines of one set on the 1st, 15th, 30th of the month. this way people dont have to fork over a large amount of money at one time + the govt will make more money since they will charge people additional fees for shipping :/
