Yep, should see some decent appreciation in most of the satin sets after the supplies are exhausted. So, when the heck does the mint traditionally publish the final sales figures for last year's sets? The last reported sales as of the day before sales ended was 775,000 (rounded).
I agree with you however it will be a long, long time before it awakens! Also wouldn't it be alright just to have a set of the cents that the US Mint sold for $7.95 or so?
The 7.95 set was 4 the proof coins mintage 200k. The last minatge for U09 was 774,844 and that was 2 days before they stopped selling. Also I got some more sets at Coast to Coast $30.95 http://www.coastcoin.com/items.asp?Cc=MINT-SET&ItemMoveby=0&pagecount=3.
The 200k mintage was for the 4 proof cents sold separately - there where a heck of a lot more sold in the other proof sets. So, the proof mintage is a lot higher than the satins in the unc set.
How long? LOL You never know, once the final numbers are out, the market often moves quickly on moderns. Even so, I don't believe the satins have realized near their potential based on their low mintages. Too many can't see the forest for the trees, all they see are mint sets and not the unique variety in them since 2005 - but, that will change.
Ebay why would you pay $5 more for same set? Two 2009 sets one has 22 bids $35. 4.95 shipping this not opened. the other is $31.88 3.45 shipping also sealed but in the discription title
I was going to buy ten sets U09 from Coast to Coast at $30.950, but price is now $35.95. Anybody have a site where I can purchase them at ASK $31.00?
