I did not purchase them they were given to me by my uncle and he said to hold on to them that one day may be worth something....I have heard alot about fake coins out there and have just recently took an interest in this hobby and are wondering if what my uncle gave me are in fact authentic or fakes....I don't have a coin store around where I live so I figured I would take the best pictures I could and post on here to see if anyone can help....thanks to all for any info/help
Is the first one supposed to be an 1877? The date looks a little odd to me. Can you give us a close-up of just the date on it? Chris
Bold-N on the 1877, probably a fake. Without closeups of the coins and mint marks really hard to say on the rest, but the 1877 and 1909-S look like fakes to me.
Welcome to the forum! As noted above, there are many fakes of these key dates out there. Check with a local coin dealer or send them to get graded/certified by either NGC or PCGS. TC
that is the best I was able to get as far as closeups I will see if I can borrow a friends camera and try to get better shots.....
Bummer Perhaps a bummer. That 1877 IHC has a really funky looking rim. It looks like your uncle spent lots of time shopping outside of the US of A. Was he a used car salesman?
