Awesome error.... Anyone Bidding?

Sure. I think others have done it for coin auctions in support of the case against counterfeits. eBay will not report back to you their decision about whether they agree with you or not, but if they pull the auction, it's safe to say they concurred or saw enough negative feedback problems in the past to give your report credible doubt on the matter. I also have seen people pop in here who purport to be with eBay, not sure of their validity as they don't stick around much. Maybe they or their legal staff already lurk around the forums.

Obviously fake it doesn't look like part of the bill. It looks as if it's on the surface. An AT'd dollar lol

 

All printing of any note is done 'on the surface'. The ink is embossed with the design during printing embedding (dying) itself on the paper fiber. Even running a note through a printer to add fake errors is applied to the surface.

The listing is still running... eBay hasn't shut 'em down yet.

The fraudster is uneducated. Do this properly and you can make a reasonable-looking fake, but you have to know how notes are printed. I've seen a few I thought might be real until I looked at them under magnification.

 

Must be a holiday at eBay... still running. :rollling:

 

either that or the ebay 'experts' think its real and refuse to pull it

 

Still sitting at $651.99. It hasn't reached reserve. Maybe the two bidders have seen this thread.

 

We can only hope that they have or don't get into a bidding war at the near end.

Also figured out how to search the seller in eBay (US) to report the listing, so it's been reported, again.
