I've been looking for either a high-end shinplaster or one with an error. At the show today, my dealer had a nice one with a cutting error. It's was priced within my budget and I'm happy to add it to my collection:

excellent note! too bad for the horizontal fold down the center, but the cutting error is pretty neat!

It wouldn't have been nicer without the fold but then the price would have skyrocketed. He also had one (non-error) in pristine condition for over $300.

Looks hand cut from a sheet. How were they delivered?

The shinplasters were cut by hand from sheets of four.

Interesting. In stamp collecting that would just be considered a poor cutting job.
