struck on bronze penny

    i saw a struck on bronze penny for sale at ebay. can someone tell me what this means, and how to know if you find such a coin. thanks.

    Technically, all Lincoln wheats are struck on bronze. 95% copper, 5% tin/zinc is a bronze. I will guess it is no better than this one. Still, unc 23-S are RARE!.

    thanks. your explaination made me wonder why this coin was so special. it's not the bronze, just the date. thanks for taking time for this.

    Actually, I think the seller is referring to the wood graining, but that is far from rare for 23-S's. If his is truly a 65, It would be worth a chunk, but I don't think his is.
