The one in post #13 is a $10 National, Series 1902. It is very similar to the ship on the Series 1918 $50 which was my first thought.

I admit I had to dig in the book to confirm, but I honestly knew the note predated the 1900s by the use of the wavy 'United States' type and the decorative points on the lettering. The paper tone gave it a significantly aged look as well. I first thought a $2 but NO, a $20 Legal Tender note. Series 1875-1880.
