2010 Siver Proof Set (14 coin set)

After seeing the pic's I can't wait to see the three sets that I ordered late last week from the mint. The mint must be slow this week. I've yet to see the charge on my credit card.

 

...and Monday was a Federal holiday too, to add to the slow down.

 

Yippee! I filled out a Certificate of Non-Receipt for the Yosimite quarters late last week. They arrived UPS today--signature required.

My Silver Proof set arrived at the Houston FedEx location 9/8. I sure hope it comes today or tomorrow. Hey!!! While typing my silver proof just arrived. The set is BEYOND BEAUTIFUL! I think the Grand Canyon and Yosimite do have a 3D effect.

 

Got mine today but think I will try for a return unless someone could tell if this is a scratch or crack or what it is? On the Fillmore, which also has some colored streaks on the front.

 

My prez coins have visible marks that you can see on several coins. Then the Yosemite has a visible mark right below MI in Yosemite.

Too long a wait for them not to be good examples of proofs.

 

It's lookin' like a scratch to me but I wouldn't send the whole set back just because the Pres. dollar didn't come "shinning through". Worst comes to worst, and it bothers you real bad, just order up a presidential proof set and swap it out with the one that's in the silver proof set. Pres. proofs ain't too bad on the pocketbook. If the silver pieces are acceptable don't mess with sending the whole set back. Ain't worth it and you may wind up with someone Else's junk.....

 

Got mine today...great set but.. its going back as the all 5 dollar coins are spotted and the 4 president coins have a smoke like coloring between 12 K & 2K ...the Kennedy half is misalinged in the holder him looking down to 7 oclock. Other than that a very nice frosty set of proof coins

 

Well green most of the prez coins have marks as well as the scratch on that Fillmore and Yosemite qtr. Some coins have imperfections but not actual scratches but not smooth on shiny areas.

Should I get a refund and order a new one? What do you think?

 

Well, if it's a beat up as you say.....yes.
