Any ideas please? Islamic Coin???

    I think I see the date of 1223AH year 10, which corresponds to 1818. Looking in Krause the closest I am coming to is a 1/4 Zeri mahbub (km608) of the ottoman empire. No diameter is given nor is there an indication of the purity, only a weight of .75-.79 g.

    If it is gold you have a nice coin from Turkey (Ottoman Empire).

    If it is brass, it could be an imitation coin that was part of a belly dancer's costume.

    Do you have the metal, diameter, or weight?
