Here is a dollar I purchased several years ago. Guess the grade and I am pretty sure it is an 1879 S over S VAM 59 does this add any value? I will post the grade on Christmas Eve.
    Happy Holidays to all!!

Then more than likely we will grade it lower than PCI....them seem to overgrade most of the time....
Is this a gold rim lable on the slab or is the lable rim green?

    I'm guessing MS64.

    I don't think it's a VAM 59 though. The 59 mint mark is a little lower.

I'll say pci gave it a 66 if gold label, 64 if green label.

    Hello,
sorry it has a Green label. Whats the difference between the green and gold label? I thought this was a pretty accurate grade. Will post tonight.

Thanks for the post Speedy. This one has the 10 digit code and is one of the older ones. That is a very helpful link.

Rev looks MS65, Obverse looks MS62, perhaps a 63. Overall grade is High MS62 to avg MS63. Way too much big scuff in obverse field and cheek for anything approaching an MS64.
