Here you go ... here's proof ... I modified my web site to list both screennames ... click refresh on the link below ... then look at the top line https://mindstar.com/currency/ satisfied?
Thanks for the info Numbers! I appreciate it! I guess mine was one of the first released then, as it's A00001699A which is okay I suppose. I might have to get one of those nice beat up versions from Puerto Rico someday... just 'cause.
Dave L - and I'll have to pick up one of those nice low numbered ones one day - when I can afford one. LOL!!!
phubanks/winged liberty; Thank you for clearing that up. having 2 user names for the same forum might not be such a good idea ya know. Once you see the website (because you did a nice job) you remember it. RB
Hey RickieB, No problem! I actually had a good reason to change user names ... i dont use the other username anymore. I will PM you the reason.
Well it's good to put a screen name to a known member that has rejoined the forum. :thumb: Your web site is indeed a nice one that I remember praising about to you sometime back when you were more active on CT and it's one I hope to be seeing more of as you have great taste in picking notes and presenting them online. Glad to have the naming stuff sorted out and a member of the Paper Money forum back on board with us.
Thanks krispy! Now that I have proven my legitamacy, I will now remove both usernames from my web site. Thanks for posting.
I hope you would understand that a certain level of suspicion was only because there have been people in the past who have claimed on forums to own extraordinary notes/coins but were found to be linking to sites they didn't own with notes/coins they didn't (and never had) owned. You certainly have some fantastic looking notes and it wouldn't surprise me if someone wanted examples like yours badly enough that they might link to your images to suggest to others they also owned them. Thanks again for the clarification and welcome back to CT! :thumb:
Nice Weimar Republik/Early Third reich German note ddoomm1. I enjoy the German notes. You pick that up at a shop?
ooohh. ok thanks for the "official" name and no, I bought it at a flea market from a guy who sells Nazi stuff (gaaa ) and had a case with notes...most inflation notes but this was his only WWII era .. collect US coins but whatever "splurged"
Very nice pick up! I often refer folks to that web site when error note questions come up. Glad to see some one who has some experience with this dealer. I've noticed his eBay auctions seem very highly marked up but wasn't sure of the direct sales prices, and how they fared to market values. Would appreciate any info from your experience you may have on the dealer.
I drooled over this note for almost a year, and Billy knows I collect serial #12.....so recently Billy contacted me, (we are both members of Collectors Universe) and he sent me a PM about some notes he wanted to sell to deserving collectors. I'm not going to go into the exact details, BUT he discounted the note over 50% from his website asking price. Billy is a good dealer, and fine individual in my book.
