If I had that kind of money to blow, no. If I was a lincoln collector and bought modern lincolns for a cent, maybe but just to own, nope.

A coin at that price, to me, is strictly investment. Being unique, there is no established market value, so you don't know your potential for growth. Thus, bad investment. Any precious metal or rare coin with an established sales record is far superior for investment.

Nope not even if I had Bill Gates money.

I'd get a Nice 55 DDO and a Pattern or two instead.

Never. 35k for a coin? i love to collect but honestly with 35K i would prefer buying a lot more than just 1 penny and even then i wouldn't waist that much in coin collecting.

  8. That cent would not be on my wish list especially at that price. TC

I don't even have to look at the coin. If I was going to blow the money, I'd rather spend a month in Vegas.

I have that coin in 67 and you can't really tell the difference. But I did save enough to buy a new SUV instead. lol
And Derekg I would not have a problem spending that on a coin if I had the money but not that coin at all.

Not a chance by me. I'd buy (1) MS66 1856 Flying Eagle cent , or (1) PF 60 ish 1895 Morgan or just about anything else as long as it was minted before 1921.

If i was filthy rich maybe, but as with most others there are a lot of other coins i would invest in before that one although it is cool !!!

For that kind of jack, I'd buy an 1893 S Morgan in AU/MS. The "King of US Coins" in Mint-State; you might actually get your money back on that coin.

I looked at a foreclosed house in town today. It was huge, plus it had a two story brick garage with a full apartment upstairs. They were asking $15,500 for it.

So you wouldn't spend over twice that one this 95 cent that is one grade higher according to a TPGing company? lol Now there's a surprise.
I'd take 2 of the homes too.
