    I've bought coins from them on ebay, now I get their catalog every month. The stuff in the catalog is too rich for my blood, but I have no complaint buying from them off ebay.

    I also have bought off them at eBay. Excellent service. Got one bad coin (PCGS mistake) and they replaced it without question. I have seen their catalog. Most of their price is very steep.

  5. I have looked but found similar coins less expensive elsewhere. Free shipping though but did not offset price difference. TC

    I've bought from them before with no problems. Got my 16-D Mercury from them. Keep an eye out for the specials they have every now and then.

    I don't understand how they have such high prices in the catalog but on ebay it seems like they loose money.

    I bought a PCGS proof nickel from them on Ebay. Now get the catalog. I keep the latest one with my other coin books. You don't see many printed coin catalogs any more.

    But agreed - prices are high in catalog and there are no pics. Kinda funny to pay generous prices for sight-unseen coins.

    Perhaps the Feebay business is a means of advertising their core business (catalogue).

    Prices aren't realistic IMO.

    prices= high
    service= great
    These are classy people, just be aware that you will pay high retail. In exchange for that the service is great and they will take care of any problems. I have ordered from them knowing that the price was a bit high and I was satisfied.

    As others have said they have the highest prices around. The service for me is ok, but could be a lot better. I bought quite a few common coins from them and they are ALWAYS out of the items they sell and do not give any notice that they are not shipping your item. They didn't charge me either though. Their ebay service is great though. Just not from there own website.

    I don't understand why people seem to think that good service somehow justifies high prices. Plenty of vendors who give acceptable pricing and provide good service.

    Their catalog prices are fair, but of course retail. In analyzing their pricing structure they are at CDN Bid plus about 40% (which is what it takes to really make it in the business). Many buyers won't pay retail and this is why I don't offer more than 60% - 70% of CDN on most material. They do move stuff thru their ebay outlet to get cash flow on stuff they can give away. I keep a copy of their retail catalog or CW with their ads for reference at shows on newly purchased material. There is a difference between what a coin will sell for with the right kind of retail buyer down the road vs what you can liquidate it for now on ebay in this economy. L&C recognizes that. To make money in coins you have to buy it right and sell your best material to the right kind of retail buyer. However, there will be a lot of sales with thin P&L in order to generate cash flow. You need a good portion of your investment in cash in order to take advantage of good deals walking in the shop or up to your table.
