I bought this as UNC but now that I have a 10X tripod I can see light scratches.

    How would you grade this?

    -EF-40
    -MS-60

    What is a "10X tripod"?

First off, scratches does not make a coin circulated or uncriculated. Wear does. Having said that, your coin does look to have some wear. Also, it may be your pix, but it also looks to have been cleaned.

Cool. I have never seen a "tripod" that magnifies.

So what makes a coin circulated or uncirculated?

The top is threaded so you can adjust the magnification. Also, I have a Sony with 15X zoom to sit on top. It can get pretty close. I love it. The guy that handed it down to me bought it back when he was collecting.

Sorry about that. It was supposed to say "scratches do not make a coin circulated or uncriculated". I corrected it.

Gotcha! So with that being said this would grade as

EF-40 LIBERTY sharp. All other details sharp. Only slight wear on ribbon end?

I am not an Indian cent expert, but from what I can make out, I would go with VF. Look here http://www.indiancent.com/grading.pdf

I agree. If the lower ribbon was complete it would make EF. Great PDF. Thanks!
