I've found many good sites for buying various types of coins. I have my favorites for Silver Eagles, for Type coins, etc., but I'm having difficulty in locating a dealer or web site who carries a good selection of American Gold Eagle coins for the various years from 1986 - 2003. My local dealers are a good source, but they don't have coins from most of these years. Can anyone point me in the right direction ? Thank you.
Most larger dealers carry a few of each year in stock. If you have a copy of CoinWorld or any of the major magzines, just call a few of these dealers, and I am sure they can help.
Thanks for the quick reply. I looked through Coin World last night, and I didn't see anybody advertising older AGE specifically. Of course, your idea is good that I should be able to contact any of the larger dealers for coins, whether they're advertising AGE or not. I'm somewhat leery about asking my local dealers to order anything. A few months ago one dealer said he'd get a 2004 proof ASE for me, and I never heard from him one way or the other. I don't want to order something and then be in limbo waiting for the order to come in. If I call and cancel after two weeks and the dealer has placed an order with another dealer who is a little poky, I don't want to leave my dealer hanging. Or am I being too loyal ?
