Ok, folks, we finally have a podcast up for you all to listen to. Due to a change in site software, the embed player on this page doesn't play it, but you can download it from iTunes (just search for The Coin Show) or by going to our website at www.coinshowradio.com and clicking the link to listen to the show. The embed player there has the same issue, but you can download the podcast directly and listen to it. We will have the embed issues solved very soon, and we thank you for listening! Mike - The Coin Show
I hope you are planning to edit the volumes on there. I had to turn my speakers up just to hear your conversation, but as soon as one of you interviews comes on, I had to crank the volume way below normal
I don't know if it's possible. We are somewhat limited by the technology that we use. We are also still working our way through the mechanics of doing this show. We apologize and hope that you'll bear with our growing pains. We promise to work hard to make the best show that we can!
I am not sure just what formatting you are using, but I guarantee there are lots of programs out there that will do it for MP3's.
Just finished listening. Was it a preview? ...seemed like a whole episode! The discussion is really engaged and enjoyable to listen to. Also a nice balance of personal thoughts/humor and serious commentary. Good stuff. I didn't have problems with the audio levels as rlm noted. There were some obvious editing patches thrown in and variations in audio quality in the segment with Matt's interviews, but it was all very clear and keeps getting smoother.
that was the entire episode. It's just not available anywhere except to download, so I called it a sneak preview! Thanks for listening!
I fogot to compliment you guys on your podcast from the last episode. I love the podcast as it is way more convienent for me to listen to than sitting at the computer. Takes me an entire week driving to work to listen to it, but I much rather listen to that on the radio in the morning than the news. I look forward to this podcast.
I'll take full responsibility for that one. The quality of audio I was able to produce wasn't really all that good with the hand held recorders I was using. It was loud and muffled. That was my first experience with those recorders and I see room for improvement which I am working on as we speak.
I listened to several episodes this weekend. I enjoyed all of them, getting some of the big names to do interviews really adds a lot to the programs. There were important things said that collectors should hear. Also nice to hear segments on non-US coins, which includes the interview with Snaz on Canadian coins. Great job.
It would be better if we can find more people to come and speak about foreign coins and ancients. Big names are really tough to get, but Matt has some connections and we plan to exploit them as much as we can. Maybe some of the people here on CT who collect ancients or other foreign stuff would like to share their expertise. Our ears are open.
I know this is a coin show but do you guy,s plan on doing any paper in the future Just thought i would ask
We do have a really cool paper money interview in the works in the next couple of episodes... Stay tuned.
