Graded by PCGS as a MS-64. Lots of luster on this one. I’m still looking for that last coin to complete my collection.
Very nice looking coin!! I think it just a tiny bit nicer than my MS-64. What's the last one you need?
The elusive 1927-S but it must be graded and slabbed by PCGS with a blue label in MS-64 condition. Very hard to find in high grades.
LOL- It’s been very difficult to find one with the criteria I want. Maybe one day as it’s been a years of searching. Never found the right coin to please me.
Hours later it dawns on me. The ‘21 was the second one I bought. The first was the one that got me started, the ‘28. I usually buy the key and semi-key dates first. The 27-S in fairly common in lower grades but I need one that’s graded by PCGS in MS-64 with a blue label. Tough to find at a reasonable price.
34-S is much harder to find properly graded and nice in the 62 - 64 range than the 21 or 28 you discussed above. You didn’t mention your search for a 34-S, so just curious.
I have them all and I was able to get them with no problems. I only need a 1927-S. It’s easy to find in low grades but not as a MS-64. Then add in that is must be graded by PCGS with a blue label. I’ve seen a few in my searches but the coins just weren’t a match for my collection or overpriced.
I have all of the series in MS-64 or higher and they are all graded by PCGS with the blue label. I figure this last coin might as well look like all of the others.
