Have you ever seen the show "Pawn Stars" on the History Channel? I recall seeing a set of these notes being brought in to the shop to be sold on one episode.
Sampson, I wholeheartedly agree with you on that one. I need a woodchopper, but won't settle for one in VG condition, VF or better for me.
Duke, you think I should get the educational note in the condition I described, or a higher grade? I still debate with myself over the note in VG condition, but it is so brown looking!
Dr Kegg, I too have a tight budget and will take a note in a more worn condition that I'd like. I like to upgrade my notes when I can later. But I feel more at a leisurely pace after I get a type example of the note first. It's just something about having that FR that makes it better even if it's lower grade. It's like, well, I have one...another better one will make it's opportunity later at no hurry.
How about a pair of them (consecutive SN's) exhibiting the "Pcblic" error..1 of the 2 notes is tied for the highest graded (66PPQ) note at PCGS. (plate position "C and D") BTW.. love the Educational notes... RB
Very nice specimen given the price Nice buy! I concur with some of the other folks, I love the Educational Note, and I acquired a VF-20 about a year ago. Since then, I am taking my sweet time at getting a better one sometime in the unknown future.
