This is best condition cent I have found

This cent shows just traces of wood graining coming through the mint luster. When is tones some more it is gonna be awesome (I hope)!

That 1916 is super cool!! I will post a couple of pics when I get home! I really appreciate a well grained coin and I still don't understand why there doesn't seem to be a premium when buying these. That said, I will list a couple on ebay soon and you can bet your bottom dollar I will ask for maybe $15 per cent piece as to me they're worth at least that but that's just me.:D Any comments?

There's a premium for them. Why do you think that?

Nice finds kangayou! Those are great for just finds!

Found this beauty while getting some change back at the grocery store, to bad that it has a lot of PMD oh well still my first. If it wern't for this forum I wouldn't even now what a wood grain Lincoln is lol.

You can't tell that the obverse in this pic has it but if you were to hold it at an angle you can see the grain on the front also.

Here is one I got today. Not a strong grain, but I like the colors.

I love this thread because there are so many random possibilities with woodies. Sort of like "happy accidents" when painting with water colors.

The Obverse is the front of the coin and I can see the grain very well on that. The reverse or the back of the coin shows very minor grain. Still, a nice find from circulation !

Can dimes have a wood grain too? I found a 1968 D with a grainy look.
