I'll gladly pay you for the special notes with all of the Canadian coins I pick out of circulation here!
I just gave a $5 with 5 - 8's to my brother, who plays the game a lot. Maybe I will get a good return ?
well we'll both loose on shipping but we can swap and spend them I suppose. dollar coins are readily accepted by most shops in the city here since the subway dispenses them. I delighted a postal clerk at the post office last week when I requested my change in dollar coins, it was early in the morning but I seemed to have made her day!
I got a series 2006 $1 today in change, serial # E25000225C. I tried to connect to coolnumbers.com, to check the "coolness factor", but for some reason my computer won't connect. Oh well, I think it's pretty cool.

I think they are pretty cool. It's true that the only one it matters to is you. But I think it does help a bit when someone or a website agrees with you. It reinforces your thinking. But I bet the "coolness" factor on the stuff I find is "dweeb". LOL My mom was into serial numbers and left me some new bills in a vault box. Guess I should check them out some day ?
best serial numbers i have are $2 bills (canadian)i got from an atm when i was 15 (sequential) so i kept them and withdrew more. also my uncle got me old $1 sequential bills from the same era as devil in hair(but these dont have that). wish they did. and that cool numbers site works now(at least for me) www.coolnumbers.com\ hope it works for you.
I'm new to this branch of collecting. I went to the bank to get change for a garage sale and found bills that I would like to ask about. Not that I think they're worth anything, but I have to ask. I found a 2003A star note that has no folds, tears, rips, chips, or marks with the Serial Number of B09188922*. Any details you can give me? The number in the run? Any value over a Dollar? Bill number 2 is in the same condition with serial number F88484884L. I would call both in the high AU range. Any value or just fun to hang on to? Thanks! Ben
