Im new to coin Collecting but my first few coin where from my grandfather here is one of them it is a 1804 Draped Bust Half Cent in real good shape you can see all the details great how much is something like this worth . all I know it is beautiful. I also have 1865 III cents in great shape,1911 dime great shape,also 1904,1880,1899,one dollar coin. 1944,1943,1939 walking liberty half dollar good shape,two 1924 peace One dollar.maybe you guys can help me out I dont know what they are worth but trying to find out . so I know for my collection and really want to know what that 1804 draped bust is worth thanks.....Tony
GOOD pictures would be necessary to determine a rough value. Take them in diffused (Not direct!) natural light, on a dark background, and from a straight-on angle. Cloudy days work best.
Hi Tony, in coin collecting date, mintmark, and grade are everything. You would need to either post photos or learn to grade yourself to see a value.

There's a saying when it comes to coin collecting... Buy the book, then the coin. Or something like that. Basically, you'll wanna go buy a Red Book and learn a bit about the basics; types of coins, mint mark locations, grading, valuation, etc. The prices in Red Book are kind of bad, though... all the other info is fantastic, and it's a must-have for any introductory coin collector.
