---8 lincoln PMD?

I Just found this Lincoln in a roll about 20 minutes ago and it caught my eye immediately. I know my pictures arn't good (because they are taken on a cell phone), but try your best. What is this? PMD? if PMD it is very old PMD because it is as discolored from age as the rest of the unmarked coin. help!

It was used by someone as a gasket(?) to obstruct the end of a pipe.

 

at first glance I though this was some sort of foreign coin
