Nice find! A third print shift error I believe is what its referred to. Generally speaking, the more dramatic (out of place or missing) the third print is the more you see price increase. The notes condition also is very important for grade to determine value. Your note has a lot of creases and folds and bumps so it could knock the value down quite a bit.
Your lucky day It's a nice shift, too bad the condition wasn't a little better. Price would not have jumped that much but it would have made it even more desirable.
Thank you for the information im 15 I just registered on this site today and I had no clue it would be worth this much.
In CHCU I wouldn't think you would get much over $250 for this note - just a guess, the condition definitely hurt the value but not by much more than $200. I agree though the folds and bumps are sad to see, surprised this wasn't pulled prior to the amount of circulation this note had.
As I stated in the other thread, watch some auctions on ebay. I was watching some this week and that is in part what I based my information on. Welcome to CoinTalk!!!
my original value was based on condition, it would be worth more in better condition but I doubt it would ever be worth more than $250 in perfect condition. I would be happy to get $55 out of a note I picked up for face value. I believe a seller could get that on ebay. Maybe more if it was sold by someone that has a good currency selling history and the auction ends on a Saturday or Sunday.
