We have another one coming up soon and man, I just don't know if I can do it. Money wise these things are really getting tough to collect. Anyone else keeping up with them?
I dropped out a while back when gold shot up to more than I was willing to pay. I may pick up the ones I missed when gold drops back down to something reasonable.
I bought a few at the start but quit after putting a pencil to the total cost. I'm not sure what it figured but thinking it was 20 or 30K. That same money would pay for about half of a nice rental property that would make several thousand a year for the rest of my life. As cool as I think the program is, it was just too much to put into modern gold.
So did you buy half the rental?! I'd like to say I'm up to date but as soon as I accomplish one goal, I invent more!
There is going to be a very select group of elite collectors out there that have the stamina (including health) and cash flow to make it all the way through the program and have a complete set. Of course, there will likely be an error or variety or glitch along the way that will stop the majority of these folks from having a "complete" set. If people are collecting these and enjoy doing it, then more power to them. However, IMO, these are not a good investment. Gold spot and/or collector demand would have to increase markedly for profits to be made. TC
At first I thought this thread was for mormons, but I see your referring to coins. Nah, even if I could afford them I wouldn't buy them. To me they are a bunch of nobodies who just happened to be married to a man the was elected president, so I see no use for them on a coin...
I'd have liked to collect the Liberty coins from this series, but it's out of my budget. I got the two most common of the being the Jeffersons and I love them, but for a man of modest means, gold is just too high
Maybe One some day Hagar the Horrible once put it best~ Behind every great man stands a woman telling him he's wrong. But I only hope to end up with one, not the series.
