What a drag...

    I found this 1998 Wide AM in a roll a couple of days ago. Corrosion would have been a problem, but THIS corrosion make my collectible coin worth, oh, let's say about 1 cent.

    The good news is that it cost me a cent!

    I don't even check corroded coins for errors any more... too disappointing to find 'em like that.

    That doesn't look like a Wide AM if you ask me! Maybe I'm just not seeing it...

    In person, it shows up well. The gap is actually very pronounced. I know that there can be die erosion that is confusing, but this would be remarkable if that is the case. It is as wide as the 2000 Wide AMs that I have found and sold. Tomorrow I will dig up a microscope and look at 50X and see if the corrosion ate away the area in question. Mike
