90 coin approved for production. 44 circulating presidential $1.00 coins. 40 first lady spouse gold bullion coins. 5 new lincoln cents. one buffalo nickel $50.00 gold coin. for jan thru feb 2006, benjamin franklin silver dollars. american eagle bullion and proof coins. 50 state quarters set for silver and clad. 2006 nevada quarter bags and rolls. and the new jefferson bags and rolls. all come out between two months period. be sure to prepare your money for these.
The more I think about the stupidity of the President coins, the more it kind of ticks me off. this will just saturate the market and put a ton of useless and barely identifiable coins into circulation.
HAHAHAH.....that is ONE thing many many collectors will not be doing. And the mint will keep on making millions making them one of the "rare" coins that will be worth face value for a looooonnnnnnggggg time. Speedy
The Presidents, first ladys, and Buffalo bullion don't start until 2007. The new Lincoln cent designs are for 2009. '06 should be a bit easier on the mint, only one nickel design.
Haha, I was getting confused there for a second... 2006 shouldnt be that rough... 1 Penny 1 Nickel 1 Dime 5 Quarters 1 Half Dollar (Proofs only I think?) and 1 Dollar (Proofs only again...I think?) and then any commemoratives
Not quite that simple. Each of the denominations should have buisness strikes and Satin finish for mint sets. Times 2 for Denver and Philly. Plus the San Fran proof and silver proofs. Dollars and halfs (buisness strikes)will likely be sold in rolls and bags again.
Lol, I ment that each ment would have to produce that...but I guess I should have clearified more huh? lol. But you got me on the silver proofs and satin finishes.
How soon we all forget. The Mint produced a funny looking thing called the bicentennial coins and everyone ran out to collect as many as possible. Now they are all being dumped back into circulation after all these years very little value. The same thing is starting to happen to the state quarters. These president coins will join that crowd and the Mint just don't care as long as there are people that will collect them for now.
Even if they are really not rare or worth much, its still nice to see something differant than what weve had for many years..........
busy years the .9999 gold bullion $50.00 buffalo coin. it will start 2007 and continue each year thereafter. it might replacing american gold eagle coins as the public's lover. it plan to challenge canada gold maple leaf and elsewhere. i rather prefer an indianhead gold bullion coin. too many buffalos nowadays.
The buffalo gold bullion will start by mid-year 2006 with the option to change the design in 2007. Congress approved a ton of items and the stories are very misleading and the dates confusing. The pure gold coins are to be RELEASED starting 2006 and the Mint at this time is saying mid year. The reason they chose to use the buffalo nickel design was to buy time for their artist to come up with a "politically correct" design to sell to the whole world by 2007. The buffalo gold is coming in the next 6 months and the Presidential dollars and Spouse gold will be release 4 per year.
new gold coin thanks crystalk64. no wonder it is called the busy 2006. and why the one ounce is worth $50.00 face and the 1/2 ounce spouse gold coin is only $10.00 face?. why not $25.00 face.
