This is a step up from the previous shows! Great discussion with Mr. Yanchunas! Very impressed guys. Excellent work. :thumb:
We are starting to get the hang of it. This is something none of us have really done before. We really thought this show was our best as well.
only to get better and better as we do more shows. I agree that this was our best show, but I also think that every one has gotten better than the last and I hope that this trend continues!
Great listening. Love the way ebay and the Chinese were taken out there and collectors were warned about counterfeits. First time listening and I enjoyed it.
I think you guys hit the problem - counterfeiting. However, I think you missed the eBay logic. Yes, it is probably money, but a lot more money than you may think. If eBay sells 10,000 of the replicas per month (and that I believe to be high) at $5 each (that I also believe to be high), eBay would rake in a whole $6,000 per month. That does not even qualify as a drop in eBay's bucket. If they remove 10% of the coins sales as counterfeits that might add up to a drop. And, my guess is that they would make that up with increased sales due to a being a more trustworthy company. Yes, it is the bottom line they are trying to enhance. Their BIG bottom line. Like a lot of companies, I bet they see China as their growth area. Kicking Chinese peoples off eBay is not a way to influence the Chinese and win their friendship. My guess is that they are doing everything they can to keep every Chinese they can get and grow it. To make matters worse, it would not surprise me if our government were also in on this trying not to offend the Chinese.
I thought it was so funny calling the new 5oz silver "hockey puck" it was cracking me up/ GREAT SHOW!
