I had a coin collection/hoard passed down to me from my grandfather. My grandfather and I were very close and when his time was coming he let me no that it was all coming to me. He is the person who got me started in collecting and helped me alot with my lincon set. His passing was close to 1 year ago and I am just now get down with what needed to be done with it, taking every coin out of the 2x2 it was in and into a new one because the ones they were in were very old and some falling apart. I have taken the coins that were special to him and me out and the coins i could use for my collection. I got the feeling he was not so much a collector as he was a hoarder. So here is my question, What do I do with what it left? There is alot of the same coins like 23 1896 indian head cents 10 1921 p,d,s morgan dollars ect ect. I just have no idea what to do with that. What is the best way to sell this to a dealer without getting the rip?

I agree - do some research look for best offers. I am sure your grandfather would like for you to get what fits best in your collection.

List it in a "lot" on ebay and wait for the bite :)

Depends on how much time you have to devote to selling them. As with typical with anything "you get out what you put in" It's hard to make a suggestion not knowing your limitations or objective. If you have all the time in the world to devote and you want to make as much as you can. Invest in a good set up, do your homework on best days and times and strategically list series of each coin individually on eBay. Build a following - save your best coins for end of the night or end of sales venture.

If time is at a premium, spread the coins out in one lot, take a photo, be vague about the description and put them up for auction. I know it has fun for me to search through some 1k coin lots, regardless that in the end, I paid too much for them. :)

If you want to make friends, dump them at steals of a deal via PM to people like me!
