I think this coin is Greek, but I have no idea. I inherited from my dad. I would really appreciate any information about it The pictures show it in a gold holder. Thank You Michelle

ANTONINVS PIVS AVG, laureate draped bust right / PONT TR P VI COS, Roma standing left, holding Victory & reversed spear. RSC 499. http://www.wildwinds.com/coins/sear5/s6856.html#RIC_0069 Heres many others of Caracalla http://www.wildwinds.com/coins/ric/caracalla/i.html edit: Welcome to CT Havent slept much so my eyes are a bit tired and I cant make out the reverve inscription.
Yep I would agree. Caracalla Denarius, Virtus reverse. Looks like one struck with a portrait of a young Caracalla, before he was sole Emperor. Interesting holder.
Ah I see now (took a nap to help too ) http://www.wildwinds.com/coins/sear5/s6903.html#RIC_0149 Ref Caracalla Denarius, RIC 149, RSC 665a, BMC 300 Caracalla Denarius. 203 AD. ANTONINVS PIVS AVG, laureate draped bust right / VIRTVS AVGG, Virtus standing left, holding Victory & scepter. RSC 667.
The main attribute of Virtus was courage, and the two G's of AVGG means Augustus plural. So the reverse reads "Virtus Duorum Augustorum" or "Courage of the Two Augusti." This refers to Caracalla and his father, Septimius Severus, who were joint emperors at the time.
